Description
Class Experience
Do you love sharks? Do you want to learn more about sharks? Do you want to meet other shark-loving learners from around the world? Then you've come to the right place. Our "Wall of Sharks" has twenty sharks to pick from. Each learner will get to pick at least one shark (normally 2 or 3) from the wall. We will then explore that shark, finding out about its unique features and behaviour, incorporating the latest science, personal experiences, lots of photos/videos, alongside plenty of...
Students will learn about some of the different species of sharks, exploring their anatomy and behaviour . They will learn to challenge some of the negative myths surrounding sharks and discuss some of the threats they face.
WiseOceans has specialised in marine education for over 10 ten years and all our marine educators have worked in the field, across the world, bringing and sharing real-life experiences to the class.
We provide an optional activity/worksheet. This can be completed after the class to help consolidate learning and provide further research tasks.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
