Do you love sharks? Do you want to learn more about sharks? Do you want to meet other shark-loving learners from around the world? Then you've come to the right place. Our "Wall of Sharks" has twenty sharks to pick from. Each learner will get to pick at least one shark (normally 2 or 3) from the wall. We will then explore that shark, finding out about its unique features and behaviour, incorporating the latest science, personal experiences, lots of photos/videos, alongside plenty of questions (from both learner and teacher). The wall contains the following sharks: Great white shark Bull shark Tiger shark Whale shark Thresher shark Epaulette shark Tasselled Wobbegong Cookie cutter shark Goblin shark Lemon shark Reef sharks Hammerhead shark Mako shark Oceanic white tip Basking shark Greenland shark Nurse shark Zebra shark Dwarf lantern shark Frilled shark
Learning Goals
Students will learn about some of the different species of sharks, exploring their anatomy and behaviour . They will learn to challenge some of the negative myths surrounding sharks and discuss some of the threats they face.
