The format of this class is a lecture, discussion, and participation. The class will begin with each student introducing themselves, we will then move on to talking about scientists and learning the definition of a scientist. Through discussions, students will become a scientist and talk about their observations. We will then talk about and look at images of other marine life and discuss what is a marine biologist. Students will watch a brief video about Turtle facts by Homeschool pop and during this time the video will be paused periodically to ask comprehensive questions. We will observe pictures, discuss different types of turtles, and learn new vocabulary words. We will end our lesson by using process art to make our very own sea turtle.

Students will improve their knowledge of marine life and expand vocabulary knowledge of scientific terms

I have been teaching preschool and school-age students for over 15 years. I have my bachelor's in Biology with a minor in CHemistry and love to share my love for science with my students.
