Making Math Fun With Miss Dani: Private Math Tutoring for K-Grade 6

Welcome to Making Math Fun with Miss Dani! In this one-time class, learners will have fun boosting their confidence and learning about math concepts in a relaxed, collaborative environment.

Each class will begin with a review of the theory of the specific skill we will be covering. I will then show your learner how to apply this theory by completing some practice questions. Then, we will work on some practice questions together, and finally, your learner will complete some practice independently (with guidance if required!) I have found that following an "I do, we do, you do" methodology has resulted in improved understanding and confidence when attempting new math concepts.

As each session is learner-driven and specific to certain skills your learner may want to practice or need support with, communication prior to the start of class will help me prepare the best tools and methods to help your learner grow.

These sessions can also be used as study sessions or homework help sessions.

Learners should be familiar with core math concepts according to their grade level, but do not need to feel totally comfortable with them- I am here to help :)

Examples of topics that we can explore include:

Factors and multiples
Understanding ratios
Multiplication and division
Translation of table values into graphs
Writing equations with letter variables (such as: formulas for rectangles, pattern rules)
