What will be taught? Students will learn key social skills for making friends and building confidence. We’ll cover how to start conversations, recognize emotions in others, practice kindness, and work on active listening skills. What topics will you cover? Topics include starting a friendly conversation, showing empathy, giving and receiving compliments, and positive ways to respond to different social situations. Each topic will be approached in a way that’s fun and easy to understand for 2nd-4th graders. How is your class structured? This is a one-time class that begins with a quick introduction and icebreaker. We'll move into interactive activities like role-play scenarios and games that let students practice skills in real time. We’ll end with a quick recap and answer any questions. How will you teach? I’ll use interactive slides to guide our class, and I’ll also lead role-play exercises, discussion, and a few games. I focus on creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable participating. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is friendly, engaging, and supportive. I make sure each student feels seen and heard, and I balance structure with flexibility to adapt to students' needs. How much will learners get to interact with you? Learners will interact with me directly throughout the class, especially during discussions, role-plays, and games. They’ll have plenty of chances to speak, ask questions, and get individual feedback as we go. This is an interactive class, not a lecture—participation is encouraged, and every student will have the opportunity to practice new skills with me and their peers.
