Class Experience
In this weekly on-going class, students will go on a classical music adventure exploring a piece of music or composer's life. ⭐️ This is a Learner Directed Social Group around Classical Music. I will be the first learner to share to get the ball rolling. I will begin with Eric Whitacre, a choral composer. The next selection or composer will be chosen by the learners in the group. - Learners will spend time socializing in a group with a shared interest. Social classes satisfy BC’s curriculum/BC Ministry of Education for K–12 around communication studies through: acquiring and presenting information; focusing on intent and purpose in delivery; and connecting and engaging with others.
Yvonne has a B.Mus from McGill University, has sung with the OSM Chorus, and has been a classical music lover all her life. She runs other more general social groups and is an interdisciplinary artist.
We are a Neuroaffirming Organization! We support learners with different needs and meet them where they are at. We are experienced scribes and enjoy exploring different approaches to writing and creating for each learner.

This is a facilitated, not an instructional class. There is no content on "How to" make friends. This is a social space where learners are encouraged to share things that are important or interesting to them. Practice is the best learning. Learners are invited to co-create our meetings. Bring your ideas and passions to class. This group is trauma informed. That means we don't play around with potentially traumatic topics including murder and violence. All topics are welcome for discussion but trauma will not be our party theme. This includes murder mystery games. Thanks for understanding this effort to provide a safe space (in a short time) for all.
