Decide how you'll use your Egyptiroom - just for show, as a getaway, a place for friends. 3. Find Egyptian-style drapes, wallpaper and tapestries.Week 2Lesson 2Fill Your Space!See how the ancient Egyptians decorated their rooms with tables, beds, murals, pottery and trunks. Then: 1. Where you can find reasonably priced Egyptian-style statuettes from museum shops and online. 2. How you can make things yourself from old tables and trunks and similar finds in antique shops. 3. How you don't need objects from Egypt to make them look Egyptian. 4. Warning: be careful about anything claimed as authentic ancient Egyptian objects.

I hold a Diploma in Egyptology from Oxford College in England and a Certificate of Museum Studies from Harvard University. I’ve been to Egypt three times on personalized, educational tours. I've been captivated by ancient Egypt since I was 10 years old. And I feel it's my destiny to share my enthusiasm for and expertise on this beautiful and brilliant 5000-year-old civilization with all of you. I hope to see you soon in this class. I think you'll agree that The Egyptian Room is an attractive, fun and inspiring place to learn. And, please, if you like, call me Ms. Sennuwy - my chosen ancient Egyptian name.
