Description
Class Experience
For the next twelve weeks, we will be discussing all things multiplication, division, and fractions. A lot of students have a harder time with these subjects, yet they are so necessary in their mathematical development. I will be teaching students what multiplication is, what division is, and what fractions are. I'll be showing them every trick I know for their times tables (up to twelve) so that way they can do multiplication easy, quickly, and eventually even have them memorized. I'll also...
Students will learn to look for patterns in math to help them understand the "how's" and "why's" behind math as well as use those patterns to find the answers to problems. My goal for each student is to come out of this class feeling a lot more confident with multiplication, division, and fractions after we are done.
Homework will be assigned, but it will mainly be simple practice from the lesson's that we have went over. For example, they may have to write out the 3's pattern, or tell me how to solve a higher multiplication problem. Homework shouldn't take more than 15 minutes unless there is a game.

My plan is to form an escape room for the students to solve. It will test their knowledge and abilities in a fun and engaging way.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
