This novel is the first in Rick Riordan's series "Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard". It is a first person account of the Norse demigod, Magnus Chase, son of Frey (Norse god of peace, fertility and wealth) and Natalie Chase. We will be taking a closer look at the literary aspects throughout the novel, but the full reading should be done outside of class. Teacher expertise and credentials
As a Special Education Reading teacher, I used Rick Riordan's novels in my classroom because his main characters are heroes due to their ADHD and dyslexia. It is my passion to take a good novel and transform it into an experience! I love to read and enjoy making a good story come alive for my students. It is an easy task with Riordan's novels. The Magnus Chase series, much like his other books, are amazing stories full of adventure and intrigue all while modernizing characters from ancient mythology!
