Class Experience

**** Feel free to contact me or send a schedule request if you don't find a time that that works well for your student.
**** Vocabulary used in this class will remain secular in focus: teacher will not be promoting a specific beliefs, religion or religious point of view. The 'spell' studied in this class is scientifically-based (Science will be used to explain the 'Levitation Spell').
**** This is one of the many exciting and fun series of classes from the 'Magical Powers' series of classes. Learners do not need previous experience/knowledge to register for this class. And there is no correct sequence to follow when registering for one of the ''Magical Powers' classes.
**** Feel free to bring your wand and wear your witch or wizard outfit (hat, robe,...) to class.

This is a fun, safe and exciting inquire-based & hands-on learning class where witches & wizards (students) will learn how to levitate a feather. Then dive into a fascinating demonstration of magnetism that will have your wizard captivated.

This one-time class is divided into 6 parts:

1) Levitation Spell Worksheet
    Please print the 'Levitation Spell Worksheet' that will be available at the classroom area 48 hours before class. If you don't have access to a printer please provide your learner with an A4 sheet of paper.

2) Welcome & Introductions
    Learners will be warmly greeted so they can fell welcome and enjoy the class as much as possible. Each learner will have the opportunity to say their names (and/or 'wizard name') and what is the favorite part of the 'Magical World'.
3) Predictions
    Then I will explain the kind of 'magic' we will be performing and the students will have the opportunity discuss their hypothesis (predictions). Each child will fill out their 'Levitation Spell Worksheet' (don't worry if your child does not know how to write yet and/or if it is a challenging task for him/her. Your learner can write the data by drawing it). 

4) Learning Time 
     This is when we will discuss about the science behind this 'spell' and start the hands-on part of the class. I will be explaining about the spell' (Science experiment), how and why it works and, lastly, I will be showing the process step-by-step so the witches and wizards, in class, can follow along. Learners will have the chance to practice the same 'spell' (Science experiment) and have fun. 
     Slides and/or pictures will be used during the explanation part.

5) Wrap-Up
     We will wrap-up by sharing our final thoughts and ideas and end the class with proper good-byes.

6) Certificate
     Your learner will receive a themed certificate after the completion of this class. The certificate will be emailed to you.
