55 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will learn all the rules necessary over the 1 hour class. The students will be able to play the game end of the lesson. If they have their own deck they will be able to use that. I do have some card examples available in a separate document. There are LOTS of examples. Reading rules is not necessary but it helps to have a few cards handy. For those that already own a full deck of magic cards the parent or student will be able to schedule an additional 1 hour session with me. This is where the student will get some actual game experience. We will take what we learned and put it to the test with some exciting game play.
Learning Goals
In thew first hour the students will be able to understand a card structure, the rules how to play, and confidently be able to play a few turns.
The additional hour of game play we will sit down and actually play. Usually this will be one game with lots explanation. If we have time we will try to play a few games. It might help if the student reads all there cards first to speed up game play.
