Class Experience

This class was designed to familiarize students with silent e and the effect it has on vowels as well as introduce them to common sight words and provide vocabulary instruction. Learning these concepts will enable your child to read a broader variety of words and become a more independent reader.
Students will enjoy a colorful slideshow, play games, and complete activities in order to increase student engagement and maximize learning. I am offering this class in both a very small group or a 1 on 1 format so that I can give each child the attention needed in order to ensure that he/she grasps the concepts being taught. (If you'd prefer one-on-one, please send me a message prior to signing up so that I can be sure to accommodate you. One on one instruction will cost a little more than small group).
Reading is a crucial element in a child's education. It's important that kids develop a strong foundation in reading early on so that they have something solid to build upon later. My hope is that this class will spark a love of reading in your child that will last a lifetime.
