Class Experience

In this class students will learn the process for a long division. The class will begin with a conversation about what division is. Next I will lead students through the steps for a long division followed by several examples. Then the students will be encouraged to try long division on their own! I will encourage student output through conversation, the chat box, and the whiteboard feature on zoom! This class will use real life examples to show how division can be used in the real world! Students will be able to divide three and four digit numbers by a one digit divisor.

I have taught fifth and six grade math for eight years! I have an a bachelor degree in elementary education and a masters degree and middle grade math. I currently homeschool my three daughters.

Paper, pencil, and a whiteboard is helpful!

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
