US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner Level
We will be exploring Aesop and his fables. The class will include discussion, storytelling, and creativity. I love giving students the opportunity for hands-on activities that add to the learning experience. Therefore, we will be completing a lapbook together which will showcase the student's learning. A lapbook is a file folder with mini-booklets inside, each having to do with a different aspect of the class information. After completing the lapbook, students are able to use it to share their learning with family and friends. This class is designed to be an introduction to Aesop and his fables. It is a one-time class.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Fables are one of my favorite subjects to teach. I love the morals and lessons they teach. I have taught units on Aesop and his fables many times over my teaching career. The use of the lapbook just enhances that learning. I have used lapbooks in my classroom and also as I homeschooled my own children. Even now, from time to time, my children will look over their completed lapbooks and reminisce the topics we have previously studied. I am excited to share this with the Outschool community as well.
