Let's begin our journey into long divisions and multiplications. We will drill down multiplication tables from 6 to 12 once and for all! How? We will discover their magical pattern, draw the mysterious geometry they create on a circle, rhythmically skip-count the multiples of each number from 6 to 12, unlock striking evidence of number theory, build the Sieve of Eratosthenes, and so much more. Memorizing them will become EASY! We will also review one timetable from 6 to 12 in each following class; repetition is critical. Once we know our multiplications by heart, further arithmetical processes are more straightforward. We will dive into long division with ease. Again, here, we will creatively learn how to compute long division methodologically with fun. In each class, we also do a mini mental math challenge. Why? Being able to hold the number in our heads builds a strong and confident understanding of number sense. It also helps us develop and strengthen our memory. The accent is not on quantity but on quality. At Waldorfunn, each class begins with a deep breath. We light a candle and say a verse to set ourselves up for a beautiful learning experience. Similarly, each class ends with gratitude, a share-and-tell of our work, and a farewell goodbye. I am sincerely looking forward to meeting you and your child. I guarantee my high-quality classes. I pour my heart into each class and cultivate a loving relationship with each student. I love math, I love teaching, and children feel it! ______ Class topics are as follows: Wednesday's class starts the week of September 1 Tuesday's class starts the week of September 15 (week 1) Mastering the multiplications table of the number 6, Do you remember number 3? The fascinating magic of 3 and 6 and learning how to reverse multiplication for divisions. The rule of divisibility of 3 and 6. (Week 2) The anatomy of long division. Without a reminder, we will achieve the long division process with a one-digit divisor and multi-digit dividend, creating a solid foundation for calculation skills while playing further with 6. (Week 3) Mastering the multiplication table of the number 7. 7 is such an odd one! The fascinating magic of 7 and learning to reverse multiplication to ease the process of long divisions. (Week 4) Computing long division with a one-digit divisor and multi-digit dividend with ease. What if we have a reminder? We will create a deeper foundation with long divisions while playing further with 7. (Week 5) Mastering the multiplication table of the number 8, do you remember the number 4? The fascinating magic pattern of 4 and 8. (Week 6) Computing a long division with a two-digit divisor and multi-digit dividend. Creating confidence with long divisions while playing further with 4 and 8. Big number or not...I can do that! Divisibility rule of 4 and 8 (Week 7) Mastering the multiplications table of the number 9, remember 6 and 3? The fascinating magic of 9, 6, and 3 and reversing multiplication for divisions. Wait ...9 is even easier! (Week 8) Calculating long division with a two-digit divisor and multi-digit dividend. Deepening confidence with long divisions while playing further with 3, 6, and 9. The bigger, the better. I can do that! It is so magical. (Week 9) Mastering the number 10 multiples and playing with enormous place value can be fun if we keep it all straight! The concept of canceling out to simplify divisions. (Week 10) The concept of canceling out 0 to simplify divisions. Rounding up to estimate division for real-life purposes. (Week 11) Mastering the 11 multiples and how we can multiply any number by 11 so quickly in our heads. This process is so much fun and IMPRESSIVE! (Week 12) Mastering the 12 time table and bringing all our previous work together in the abundant 12 number. The magic of number sense is evident with 12. (Week 13) We are so good at long division. We can divide any number with ease. Knowing by what number a number can be divided evenly and applying our divisibility rules is a practical skill for real-life events. Can we make long division short? Yes, we can, and we will learn how to do it. ( Week 14) We will practice more on how to make our long division short. (Week 15) Mastering all types of conversion. From percentages to fractions, from decimals to fractions... More SHORT Division! More classes will be added after Christmas break.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Associate's Degree in Forestry from College de Sainte-Foy
I am deeply invested in anthroposophy, and I acquired the foundational knowledge and the practical art skills of Waldorf Education.
Mathematics is my passion, and I specialize in Classical Greek geometry and arithmetic.
I crafted my math classes to trigger the genius in each student.
I speak four languages fluently.
I also teach reading and spelling classes at the elementary level because I believe in the power of classical literature. I crafted these classes for children to fall in love with writing with perfect spelling.
Like in Math, if a class is meaningful and emotionally captivating, "Difficult" academics become satisfying!
I strive to create those "AHH" moments in children...they are the delights of academic work!
The purpose of my educational classes is to inspire students.
I know how important this is for children and their future academic life.
I have a Canadian Advanced Degree in the Natural Science of Silviculture and Forest Management.
I have taught Waldorf Waldorf-inspired curriculum for my four delightful daughters for over five years.
