Please note: There are no live meetings for this class. In this 12-week course, students will transition from GarageBand to Logic Pro, diving deeper into the world of music production with a focus on mixing. The course begins with an overview of the key differences between GarageBand and Logic Pro, ensuring a smooth transition for learners. What will be taught? Introduction to Logic Pro and its interface Key differences between GarageBand and Logic Pro Advanced recording techniques for audio and MIDI Detailed mixing techniques: EQ, compression, reverb, and more Using practice tracks for hands-on mixing experience Creating an original or cover song project Covered Topics: Interface overview and navigation in Logic Pro Recording audio and MIDI in Logic Pro Mixing techniques and tools in Logic Pro Practical mixing exercises with provided practice tracks Final project: creating, mixing, and mastering an original or cover song How is your class structured? Weeks 1-6: Focus on learning and practicing mixing techniques with provided tracks Weeks 7-12: Application of learned skills to create an original or cover song The class will be taught through pre-recorded video lessons, step-by-step tutorials, and hands-on practice exercises. My teaching style is interactive and hands-on, encouraging students to practice and apply what they learn in each lesson.
