Class experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
This flexible course is designed to give preschoolers an interactive, yet flexible, Preschool Circle Time experience. Flexible classes are perfect for busy families, for learners who do not prefer "live" classes, or for learners who enjoy my teaching and classes but are unable to add them to a consistent weekly schedule. In a flexible class, I will provide you with pre-recorded videos, as well as descriptions/pictures of at-home extension activities. Students will participate via watching...
Preschool students will have the opportunity to practice and increase their: -language skills / vocabulary -temporal concepts -weather concepts -fine motor skills -gross motor skills -following directions skills -pre-reading skills -social emotional skills
Homework Offered
All class assignments will be provided each week. Al homework will be age-appropriate and play-based, designed with preschool learners in mind. This may include: a letter of the week art activity, a Calendar Time worksheet, reading a book from the recommended book list (provided each week) and a theme based art or science activity. I will also provide optional home activities for you and your family to utilize throughout each week to encourage language and learning.Assessments Offered
Grades Offered
Each week, I will provide you with a specific list of supplies needed for each class. I do my best to utilize supplies many people will likely have around the house, and I will always provide options if you do not have certain materials. Materials for the entire course may include (we will not use all of these in each class -- please check the classroom for details each week): -crayons/markers -worksheets (provided in the classroom after you are enrolled) -child scissors -glue -small manipulatives in many colors (small colored blocks, counting bears, Froot Loops, or something similar to these items) -construction paper -it would be helpful to have a physical calendar for your child to reference each day (I provide a "calendar worksheet" -- but since this is a Flex Class, it would be helpful for your child to be able to reference the day/month they are taking the class Again, other materials may be utilized, but they will often be common household items. Let me know if you have questions!
I will provide each learner with a recommended book list to go with each theme. We will not be reading any books in class, but I encourage your family to utilize my recommended book list! Please reach out if you need any assistance finding theme-related books. I do have resources to help you find low-cost / no-cost books.
