This may include: a letter of the week art activity, a Calendar Time worksheet, reading a book from the recommended book list (provided each week) and a theme based art or science activity. Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
This flexible course is designed to give preschoolers an interactive, yet flexible, Preschool Circle Time experience. Flexible classes are perfect for busy families, for learners who do not prefer "live" classes, or for learners who enjoy my teaching and classes but are unable to add them to a consistent weekly schedule.

In a flexible class, I will provide you with pre-recorded videos, as well as descriptions/pictures of at-home extension activities. Students will participate via watching the class videos. They may also post their completed work (pictures and/or videos) if they would like to receive feedback and interaction. I will check the classroom several times a week to check in and provide feedback, encouragement, and support.

Each week, I will post at least 4 videos, as well as additional resources to further your child's learning. Please note that some parent support/supervision may be advised for the activities videos, depending on your child's age, independence, and skill level. Videos include:

*Circle Time lesson --Each lesson will contain a variety of songs, typical classroom routines (weather, calendar, letter of the week, weekly song/story based on the theme), and other pre-school readiness and kindergarten readiness skills.

*Letter of the Week activity video - This is a video containing an activity that focuses on increasing letter/sound awareness of the target letter each week.

*Math Concepts activity video -- This video is a play based match activity focusing on a variety of skills (number awareness, counting skills, sorting skills, introduction to simple graphing, etc.).

*Play activity video -- The play activity video includes language-enriched play activity for you to do at home to expand learning from the weekly theme, introduce new basic language concepts, increase vocabulary, increase play skills, fine motor skills, and much more!

*Additional / optional videos may also be provided each week to further expand learning and play ideas!

Each class will maintain a similar routine to help each learner feel confident and know what to expect. We will learn about a new theme each week.

Our themes for this class will include:

Week 1: Colors
Week 2: Feelings / Emotions
Week 3 : Bugs/Insects
Week 4: Zoo
Week 5: Beach

Preschool Circle Time is one of my favorite things to teach, and I am so excited to be able to offer it in "flex" format! Please reach out if you have any questions or requests for this class! ~Ms. Liz

Supply List
Each week, I will provide you with a specific list of supplies needed for each class. I do my best to utilize supplies many people will likely have around the house, and I will always provide options if you do not have certain materials. Materials for the entire course may include (we will not use all of these in each class -- please check the classroom for details each week):

-crayons/markers
-worksheets (provided in the classroom after you are enrolled)
-child scissors
-glue
-small manipulatives in many colors (small colored blocks, counting bears, Froot Loops, or something similar to these items)
-construction paper
-it would be helpful to have a physical calendar for your child to reference each day (I provide a "calendar worksheet" -- but since this is a Flex Class, it would be helpful for your child to be able to reference the day/month they are taking the class

Again, other materials may be utilized, but they will often be common household items. Let me know if you have questions!
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
I will provide each learner with a recommended book list to go with each theme. We will not be reading any books in class, but I encourage your family to utilize my recommended book list! Please reach out if you need any assistance finding theme-related books. I do have resources to help you find low-cost / no-cost books.
