LIVE Online Art Class: Draw and Paint a Long-Stemmed Rosebud
In this one-time class, students will learn simple techniques to draw a rose, then color and/or paint it.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-time class, learners will have the opportunity to draw and color or paint a beautiful rosebud for someone special! Through my guided drawing process, students will learn a simple, yet effective technique utilizing lines and shapes to draw the petals, stem, and leaves, then outline it with a black Sharpie or similar black pen. Color will be applied with any of the following media: crayons, markers, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, or watercolor paint. I will be using watercolor pencils, and teaching color, highlight and shading techniques as well as applying water to blend the pigment. Students will have the opportunity to show off their creations at the end of class.

Paper (I recommend heavy paper, such as watercolor paper, if the student is planning to use paint or watercolor pencils) pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Black Sharpie, ultra fine point Color media of choice: crayons, markers, colored pencils, watercolor pencils (My top choice), watercolor paint If using watercolor paint or watercolor pencils, a bowl of water and fine brush will also be needed
