30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
**PLEASE NOTE** Occasionally, I run a class with fewer than 3 students. When I do, the class often runs shorter than the amount of time listed, due to the fact that less time is used with introductions, or with differing abilities and processing speeds in different students. The content is exactly the same, and in fact, can be considered a bargain for a private class. In this fun, one-session class, discuss the features and characteristics we might want for our own monster. We will practice drawing fun, googly eyes, silly mouths, hairy bodies, weird shapes, and other features the students come up with. We will then draw our monsters on black or colored construction paper, and color them with oil pastels! OR, on white paper with crayons or other media! No prior background knowledge is needed, and learner progress is tracked by the smiles and fun the kids have in this class!

As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
