Up, up, and away! If you loved the original Little World Explorers class, or are just looking to explore the amazing national parks in the USA, this class is for you. Each week, our hot air balloon will take children to a new national park. I love to make geography FUN! We will go through a slideshow presentation showcasing the main attractions of each park as well as some hidden gems. We will learn the location of each national park, and it will be shown on a map as well. Children will not know what the national park will be ahead of time as part of the fun will be guessing. They will be sent a blank map of the United States so that they can locate the part of the country and state where it is located. Pictures and video clips will make the children feel like they have been transported. No prior knowledge is needed. My teaching style is very interactive. I love student participation (it is never forced if a child is shy, however). I'm so excited to meet you learners soon. :)

A blank map of the United States will be provided so that learners can locate the state and the area of the country where each national park is.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello everyone. My name is Tyler, and I have been teaching for over 12 years. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I taught preschool for many years, I homeschool my own children, and I have been teaching online for several years. I have a passion for learning as well as teaching. I am a very patient teacher. I want each child to know how special they are. When they have that confidence, they will succeed.
I have three daughters, and know that children learn best when they are having FUN. I like to keep my lessons fun and interactive. My favorite part of teaching is connecting with the students and watching them grow and learn over time. I want children to look forward to my classes and always feel comfortable. I am very upbeat and patient. I was a very shy child, and one of my daughters is the same. I want every child to feel comfortable, and never worry that I will put them on the spot.
One of my favorite things to do, when I am not teaching, is to travel. I love traveling all over the world and immersing myself in different cultures. That is why geography is my favorite subject to teach. My classes are full of fun, movement, and adventure. I try to always make it an adventure so that children are excited to learn. I love to learn, and continue to educate myself daily so that I can also educate others. My family and I are very active and love to be outside.
