Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Welcome Scientists! 🧑‍🔬 👩‍🔬

In this flexible schedule class, little scientists will conduct 12 different hands-on science experiments. Each scientist will be exposed to a plethora of creative experiments; some will result in BIG results, while some experiments can be the simplest of results. The experiments and projects we cover will encourage learners to identify the various concepts of science behind what they are doing daily/weekly. Science experiments are about doing, testing, and observing from beginning to end...also to have TONS of FUN!

The best part of a flexible schedule science class, is that each scientist can work at their own pace! There is no need to rush through each experiment, plus everyone can recreate these experiments as many times as they like throughout our four weeks together.

Each week will contain three experiments (including step-by-step how to video) and a list of materials for each experiment. Our weekly videos will post on Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays with check in videos for a certain experiments that take longer than a day.

---------SCIENCE EXPERIMENT WEEKLY BREAKDOWN---------

------------------------------------------------------------------
Another great opportunity with this class will be the discussion with other learners! Learners have the opportunity to converse with peers, and to listen to shared experiences.

**Parents/guardians, I do my best to keep the materials at a minimum and the majority can be found in households. All ingredients/materials are listed below in the 'Learner Supply List' tab.

Learning Goals

Learners will improve their understanding of various scientific facts with each experiment we complete. In class, concepts are not discussed too far in-depth, leaving class light and airy. It is important for learners to have fun, while we mix in a few terms and comprehension as different ingredients can cause similar reactions, etc.

Welcome! My name is Jessica (Teacher Jessica). I have my Master's in Elementary Education (multiple subjects)! I have taught in the 6th grade classroom, and as of the last four years I have been teaching here on Outschool!

My teaching experience has given me the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure all students can thrive inside and outside of the classroom. Being an elementary school teacher, I enjoy and have fun teaching in all areas; as you may notice with my class listings I enjoy doing a little bit of everything!

I love to enhance learning development, and to watch each student grow individually. I look forward to meeting your child!

Aside from work life, I have a husband and three little ones! Outside of teaching, we love to be outside in nature, reading is life, and family time is everything!
