Science is full of wonder & excitement! Let's explore and push boundaries through chemical reactions & S.T.E.M. activities! Scientists will complete a daily hands-on science activity and discuss their hypothesis, experiment, & findings.

Class experience

Follows Teacher-Created Curriculum
Students will improve their understanding of various science concepts through hands-on learning. 
Below is the supply list needed for four weeks at a time and will updated each week for better preparation.

(April 28th - May 4th) - Oobleck: A Non-Newtonian Substance

• Cornstarch (LOTS)
• Food Coloring (optional)
• Mixing Bowl
• Water
• Spoon
• Tray

(May 5th - 11th) - Walking Water

• 6 clear cups (preferably short) 
• Plenty of paper towels
• Plenty of water
• Food coloring (red, blue & yellow)
• Spoon
• Tray

(May 12th - 18th) - Disappearing Ink 

• Cranberry Sauce
• 2 tsp. Baking Soda
• 1/2 Cup of Water
• Small & Large Bowl 
• Printer Paper 
• Paintbrush
• Q-tips
• Fork or Spoon
• Blowdryer
• Tray

(May 19th - 25th) - What cleans pennies best?

• 5 - 6 smalls bowls 
• 5 - 6 pennies
• Ketchup or Mustard
• Milk
• Vinegar
• Soapy water
• Juice...etc.
• Spoon
• Tray
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each week will be different in terms of experiments and what is used, but it is important for learners to have an adult near by for assistance.
