Week beginning September 5th - How do polar bears stay warm? -2 ziplock bags (large enough to fit one of your learner's hands) -Bowl with ice water -Shortening (butter/margarine) Week beginning September 12th - Can you make a volcano? -1 lemon cut in half with the bottom cut off so it can stand -Food colouring -Baking powder/soda and spoon -Tray or plate Week beginning September 19th - Do objects float better in salt water or fresh water? -2 tall glasses (large enough to fit an egg) -2 eggs -Water -Salt and spoon Week beginning September 26th - How quickly can we melt ice? -Muffin tray with a few ice cubes in each gap -Methods of melting ice (warm water, towel, sunlight, hairdryer) - you can brainstorm with your learners before class starts
