Homework
1-2 hours per week. Based on each students needs, strengths, and weaknesses, I will assign homework. The will be asked to practice certain songs that will help enforce in their mind the lessons that we learn each week. The homework will always be something that is suited to their age and what they can handle. They will usually be working on something that we have already done because practice makes perfect!Class Experience
Each one on one class in this course will be personalized to the learner. The students will learn proper techniques at the piano, they will become proficient at reading music, and they will learn how to play the piano. My course is structured by using curriculum based on the Piano Adventures books. I believe in being encouraging and supportive to each student to help them to feel comfortable and progress and most importantly, to really learn to enjoy playing piano. We will learn proper techniques, go over new lessons, and then put them into practice by playing songs that implement those lessons. The whole class will be based on the one learner, and I will go at the speed that each individual child needs to tailor the class to each student. No previous experience is needed.

Supply List
For this class, I am using the Faber Piano Adventures Primer level lesson and performance books. The price is usually around $18 for the set. I am asking for each parent to order this book at least by the second lesson. Once we finish this set, we will move on to Level 1. Thank you!

I have always been a teacher, and teaching is something that is very important and dear to me. I love watching students, and especially kids, blossom and learn. I have played the piano since I was very young, and I also played multiple other instruments throughout school. Music has always been an important part of my life, and because I have spent countless hours playing the piano as well as other instruments, reading music and music theory are ingrained forever in my mind.
