Join us in this interactive class as we read, sing and dance in discovery of one of the treasured stories of Little House on the Prairie, Dance at Grandpa's, a My First Little House Book written by Laura Ingalls Wilder! We will read through the story of Laura's family gathering at Grandpa's house for a special get together, discussing the similarities & differences between gatherings in the pioneer times and the gatherings of today. We will also learn a classic pioneer song, Oh Susanna, and a dance to go along with the song! We look forward to a "reel-ly" great time together!
Learning Goals
Students will get a glimpse into pioneer life and will experience activities as though they were a pioneer child themselves!
