Welcome to Little Explorers: Pre-K & Kindergarten circle time. In this class we have lots of fun while learning some important skills like number and letter recognition, counting, colors, shapes, days of the week, weather and more. I love to bring songs into my teaching to keep students engaged and help reinforce the concepts they are learning. We start every class by singing our good morning song and introducing ourselves. Then we will dive into learning. We will cover a wide range of topics that are the essential building blocks for young learners. Every day we will cover the weather, calendar, letter/sound, color, shape, numbers & counting and more. TOPICS: Welcome: We welcome everyone by singing the “Good morning earth” song Weather: We sing the “What’s the weather” song and students are encouraged to take a look outside and share what the weather is like where they live. Calander: We sing the “Days of the week” song and “Months of the year” song and go over the day, month, and date. Alphabet: Each week we will focus on a new letter and its sound. We will then have a game or activity to reinforce these concepts. Each day will be different. Numbers & Counting: We will rotate through songs. All songs have fun graphics that students will see on the screen. They also have interactive hand movements that students are encouraged to follow along with. (more songs to be added) 5 little ducks 10 in the bed Bubble bubble pop 5 little speckled frogs Colors & Shapes: Each week we will focus on a different shape and color. We will then play a game to reinforce these concepts. Each day will be different. Other: Oceans, continents, 5 senses, emotions & feelings, story sequencing, rhyming, transportation, community helpers, all kinds of weather, habitats, life cycles, and more! Printables: Each week I will send home some fun printables to help reinforce the concepts we learn in class. These are meant to be used at your leisure. Students are not required to bring these to class or show me. WEEKLY SCHEDULE: We meet 3 days a week. Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at 11:00 a.m. EST. Class is ongoing and you can jump in at any time since classes do not build upon each other.

Hello, my name is Ms. Sam and I'm so glad you're here.
As a dedicated lifelong learner, I have always strived to continue learning, especially when it comes to social and emotional skills, mindfulness, growth mindset and creative expression. I have been a homeschool mom for 6 years and have been working with other homeschool children ages 3 to 9 for the past 4 years. My goal is to make class fun and engaging while encouraging students to use their imaginations and get creative.
I teach classes covering a wide range of SEL & Mindfulness topics. Ongoing classes do not build upon each other, and learners can jump into them at any time. Topics include but are not limited to -
Self-Awareness: Emotion identification, confidence, calm down techniques, growth mindset, self-esteem
Social Awareness: Empathy, kindness, listening skills, inclusion, communication
Self-Management: Emotional regulation, coping skills, accountability
Relationship Skills: Setting healthy boundaries, conflict resolution, gratitude, cooperation, responsible decision making.
Mindfulness: Meditation, mindful breathing, grounding, relaxation, intentions, positive affirmations
I feel it is deeply important to continue to learn about yourself and to grow as a person, and I am a firm believer that equipping children with these skills will give them the building blocks to become confident, kind and successful adults.Reviews
