Class experience
In this ongoing course, students use drawing, painting, printmaking, paper collage, and clay techniques to create artwork. Each week students will create artwork while being introduced to different material, techniques, and famous artists. Though this class is taught mainly though a directed drawing type of teaching style, the students will be encouraged to add anything they want to make their work unique to them. Please note, students may need time outside of class to finish their artwork....
Students will further develop cutting, pasting, clay building, printmaking, painting, and other fine motor skills. Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression and artistic decision making.
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
