In this ongoing course, students use drawing, painting, printmaking, paper collage, and clay techniques to create artwork. Each week students will create artwork while being introduced to different material, techniques, and famous artists. Though this class is taught mainly though a directed drawing type of teaching style, the students will be encouraged to add anything they want to make their work unique to them. Please note, students may need time outside of class to finish their artwork. This course is for those developmentally at a Kindergarten level classes. Students must be able to draw basic shapes, know how to raise hand to ask questions, and wait patiently while other students answer questions. Learning Goals
Students will further develop cutting, pasting, clay building, printmaking, painting, and other fine motor skills.
Students will continue to develop skills in artistic expression and artistic decision making.

Students must be comfortable with scissors. If not, they will need parental assistance.
Supply List
A specific supply list for each week will be posted in the classroom 24 hours before class. General supplies needed for class: Paper materials: White drawing paper, construction paper of various colors, scissors, glue stick or glue bottle Drawing materials: pencil, eraser, crayons, colored pencils, markers Painting materials: watercolor paint, acrylic or tempera paint, paint palette, paint brush, cup of water, paper towels Clay materials: airdry clay or playdough Other possible materials: small pieces of cardboard, printed worksheets
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
The two things I love most in life is art and teaching! I have a degree in art education and have lots of experience working with young students. I think that basic understanding of art techniques and theories are important things that students should learn to not only further their art skills but also to see the beauty in the world around them!
