This one time class will introduce students to animals that live on the plains of Africa.

Class Experience

This class will be a presentation of information to the students via a slide show. There will be short video clips to further expand on the information presented in lecture.  There will be opportunities for discussion from the students, as well as a time for them to share any information they have found interesting or to ask any questions they may have. The students will be able to answer the question "What is a plain?" They will also learn basic information on habitat, behaviors, and interesting facts about each the the four animals included in the lesson: Lion, Zebra, Elephant, and Giraffe.

Learning Goals

The students will understand that the plain is a vital habitat for the animals that we will be learning about. They will be able to gain and demonstrate in discussion knowledge about each animal as well as the land form of the plain.

I have studied animal habitat and behavior extensively.  I am passionate about conservation of animals and love being able to share my knowledge with students.  I have taught many lessons centered around this content and feel confident discussing and answering any questions my students may have.
