Does your child have a vivid imagination or love telling stories? In this 5-week adventure into the world of screenwriting, kids will learn how to turn their creative ideas into a script ready for the big screen!

What will be taught?
In this 6-week screenwriting course, young writers will learn how to turn their imaginative ideas into compelling scripts for the screen. We’ll cover everything from creating dynamic characters and building intriguing worlds to crafting dialogue and structuring a complete story. By the end of the course, students will have written their very own 3-minute film script.

This course is designed to be interactive and engaging, with each week focusing on a specific aspect of screenwriting. We’ll begin with a short presentation to introduce new concepts, followed by hands-on activities like brainstorming sessions, character creation, and scriptwriting exercises. There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and collaboration with classmates.

How will you teach?
My teaching style is dynamic and student-centered. I believe in making learning fun and accessible, so each lesson will include a mix of visual aids (like slides and video clips), interactive games, and group activities. I encourage creativity and individual expression, allowing students to explore their ideas in a supportive environment.

How much will learners get to interact with you?
Students will have ample opportunities to interact with me and their peers throughout the course. Each session will include:

Lectures: Short, focused presentations on the week’s topic.
Games: Fun activities designed to reinforce key concepts.
Slides and Video Clips: Visual aids to help illustrate the lessons.

By the end of this course, your child will not only have a completed a short script but also a deeper understanding of how movies are made, giving them a head start in the exciting world of filmmaking!
