Class Experience

Hello junior coders!
If you have some experience with Java/Python/JavaScript/C++, I believe that now you are ready to learn the next level of programming- Object Oriented Programming (OOP)!

==========> What is OOP?
OOP: Instead of functions/methods and logics, Object-oriented programming (OOP) organizes software design based on objects. An object can be defined as a data field that has unique attributes and behaviors.
Sounds confusing? We will learn a lot about "objects" in this class!

==========> Reason to choose this class:
You will be able to-
** learn what professional software test engineers do in the tech industries like Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google (FAANG)
** write code using object oriented programming (OOP) concepts
** learn and implement the concepts of Selenium which is a software tool for testing web applications
** develop a strong problem solving skill
** learn how to be more organized in coding- clean coding
** debug code (finding bugs in the their code and fix them)
** enhance coding skill by building projects which aim to fix website defects/bugs
** work on complex real-world projects

==========> Prerequisite
If you are interested in this class, I hope that you have some good understanding of the following concepts from another Java/Python class.

1. Data types (int, double, float, string, Boolean, array, list, tuple, hasmap etc.)
2. Conditional Statements
3. Loops and nested loops- for and while
4. Logical Operators
5. Methods/Functions (good to have some basics)

If you do not know the above-mentioned concepts and have not completed any entry-level coding classes yet, please complete some entry-level coding classes.

I am also offering three entry-level Java courses that will cover the topics mentioned above
1. https://outschool.com/classes/learn-to-code-and-solve-real-world-problems-beginners-java-programming-eX1zaEcv#usmdgGriHQ
2. https://outschool.com/classes/advanced-java-programming-algorithm-design-techniques-vduCnyxA#usmdgGriHQ
OR
3. https://outschool.com/classes/become-zero-to-hero-in-java-programming-with-real-world-project-experiences-tZc8NL1F#usmdgGriHQ

==========> What will you learn?
You will first learn the four concepts of OOP. They are:
1. Abstraction
2. Encapsulation
3. Inheritance
4. Polymorphism

Object-oriented programming System(OOPs) is based on the concept of “objects” that contain data and methods. The primary purpose of object-oriented programming is a easier way to make changes in the programs and maintain them on a regular basis. Basically, Java OOP concepts let us create working methods and variables, then re-use all or part of them without much difficulties

Later, you will learn Java and Selenium to automate web-based applications!

Let's see what you are going to learn in each of the 10 weeks!

==========> Week 1
***Introduction to the course: Automating/testing websites using Java and Selenium
