Class Experience

Sometimes, learners just need that 'light bulb' moment to get over a hurdle in their understanding of a Spanish language concept. In this class, learners will have access to academic Spanish tutoring in a small group to a medium-sized group setting.

As this is an ongoing tutoring class, the content is learner-directed and will change based on the needs of the students.

As students may be enrolled in a Foundations / Spanish 1 course or transitioning into Spanish 2, I will be able to assist them with such topics as pronunciation of words; using formal/informal expressions, gender and number of nouns, articles, and adjectives; telling time, telling the date; using numbers in various ways; conjugating regular AR, ER, and IR verbs; subject pronouns; stem-changing verbs; reflexive verbs; and so much more! Moreover, this class may also be beneficial to students who are learning Spanish in an informal setting.

When appropriate, learners may have verbal interactions with one another and/or the teacher in speaking roles. A breakout room may be used when the learners need individual attention from the teacher on different objectives or for small-group work.

The goal of each session is to obtain a level of mastery by pointedly focusing on step-by-step processes. Additionally, my Spanish tutoring approach uses innovative strategies such as songs, chants, word associations, acrostics, and more!

This class will be scheduled on Tuesdays only.
