Class experience
Sometimes, learners just need that 'light bulb' moment to get over a hurdle in their understanding of a Spanish language concept. In this class, learners will have access to academic Spanish tutoring in a small group to a medium-sized group setting. As this is an ongoing tutoring class, the content is learner-directed and will change based on the needs of the students. As students may be enrolled in a Foundations / Spanish 1 course or transitioning into Spanish 2, I will be able to assist...
Students will improve their understanding of specific academic Spanish language concepts.
I am offering this class for students who are struggling in their learning of academic Spanish or have a gap in their learning. I am a 30-year veteran Spanish teacher who values developing rapport with students and whose approach to teaching and learning is mastery. Therefore, students and parents can be confident in my expertise to deliver effective instruction.
Homework Offered
Students should engage in targeted study time of 15 -20 minutes on non-session days. This may include doing additional practice written or digital practice activities related to the learning targets covered. Additionally, students are encouraged to practice with the daily self-paced learning app, Duolingo.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

During this class, I will encourage students to use the self-paced language-learning app, Duolingo. This app is free to use on a computer or to download on one's phone. Duolingo give written, listening, and speaking practice with fun interactive activities and tracks students's progress.
