Letter Sounds, Blends, and Sight Words, Oh My!
In this class, we will practice letter sounds, two different blends, and sight words. A direct lesson followed by interactive activities will be implemented to reinforce the skills. We end our session with a fun read aloud!

Beginner Level
We will review letter identification and sounds, be introduced to a letter sound blend, and practice words with these blends. We will incorporate additional sight words and practice reading simple sentences. Students will have the opportunity to listen and watch me first, then interact with me and each other. We end our session with a read aloud of the story Dog’s Colorful Day” by Emma Dodd, and I will ask comprehension questions along the way.

As an experienced special education teacher of many years, I welcome all abilities. I can quickly make any adaptations needed, and can certainly remember to accommodate individual learning needs in future sessions.

Paper and pencil/crayon/marker or a white board and dry erase marker. Whatever you prefer.
