Description

Class Experience

Students will learn the letter names of all 26 letters.
Students will learn the basic letter sounds of all 26 letters.
Students will begin to hear the sounds of these letters in words.
Students will learn to write all 26 uppercase and lowercase letters.
Students will be able to match the uppercase and lowercase letters appropriately.
Students will develop vocabulary and speaking skills.
Students will be introduced to math skills like counting, number recognition, money recognition, and more.
Students will be introduced to science concepts like weather, space, and animals.
I believe young children learn best through specifically designed activities that seem more like play than learning to them. The higher their interest level in the play, the more they learn. I have many years of experience teaching children through play and have applied these techniques to online teaching.
After each class, I will provide parents with an optional list of activities they can do with their child each week to support the concepts we learned in class.
The student will need a pencil and paper or dry erase board, marker, and eraser during class time. If additional materials are needed, I will send information prior to the class to students can be prepared.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The teach will listen to student responses and observe student actions in class to determine each students progress. The class will be differentiated based on each learner's readiness and ability to learn the material presented.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Young children may need guidance on how to listen and follow the teacher's directions until they understand the expectations of class. Students may also need help from a parent to turn on the pen tool during the lesson time. The teacher will be happy to provide instructions during class.
