Let’s learn the importance of voting!
In this multi day, once a week course, students will meet once a week for four weeks. Students will learn the importance of voting in a non-political manner, in the great Pizza Vs Tacos Election 2020!
Topics we will explore:
Week 1 - the importance of voting
- nominations of candidates
Week 2 - campaigning for the candidates
- how the power of persuasion is used in elections
- how to make an educated decision, weighing the pros and cons of both options
Week 3 - the importance of secret ballots
- the voting process
- voting
Week 4 - counting the votes and announcing the results
- how to win and lose graciously
This class is designed to be fun and highly interactive. This class requires students to take their turn talking in class and engaging with both the teacher and their peers. If your student is uncomfortable engaging with others, this class is not a good fit for them. For the best possible learning experience, students should attend all four classes.Other Details
