In this one-time class, we will discuss mystical creatures and have a fun time. We will discuss age-appropriate facts about the unicorn, such as the unicorn horn is known to be magical. Did you know the word unicorn means one-horn and unicorns don't have wings, that is called a Pegasi? We will discuss fun facts about the mermaid and the dragon, and we will make an activity for each. Children can bring their unicorn or other favorite mystical creature to share at the beginning of class, if time allows I will read a book (see below). My class is structured in a small group, so all children are given the opportunity to share, my teaching style is simple, every child is accepted and welcomed into my class. No prior knowledge is necessary this is a fun class for children to share their favorite mystical creature.

Hello, my name is Anna Contreras, I am a preschool teacher with twenty-five years’ experience. I have experience working with older children six to ten years old as a teacher assistant. I have two degrees, a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and an Associate Degree in Education.
My educational belief is every child has a right to a safe learning environment. As a teacher it is my responsibility to be a positive influence on children's love of learning and to foster their self-esteem. I love working with children, I am animated, silly, and fun which keeps children engaged and interested. In my experience children learn through laughter and silliness.
Teaching tools I use are puppets, music, games, dance, musical instruments, I also use Manycam to display pictures on screen to engage children learning process. Classes I hope to teach on Outschool include early literacy, math and science, arts and crafts, nursery rhymes, music, and dance.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my family, my husband and I have two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and four grandchildren. I love spending time with my two dogs, Marley, and Bella. I enjoy TikTok and learning new dances with my granddaughters.Reviews
