There are no quizzes or tests. We review and engage in mini-conversations together. Your student should expect to participate. If asked, I provide a certificate in pdf format for finishing the course.Class Experience
Building confidence in the basics of speaking a foreign language is extremely important, and that is what I will be doing through this class. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's Start Speaking Italian is a series of classes that include learning the basics to start speaking some Italian by focusing on grammar. This specific class includes a focus on verbs, possessive pronouns and the days of the week. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Week 1: Learn a list of 14 fare expressions & 3 stare expressions Week 2: Sapere vs. Conoscere (both mean to know; understanding the differences between then and how to conjugate them in present indicative) Week 3: Learn possessive pronouns (my, your, his, her, our, their, etc.) Week 4: Learn the days of the week and how to use them in sentences Each day we will try to do a 10-minute conversation in Italian. *Each time, we will review the information from the last lesson. *Students will at times be given a PDF, worksheets, etc. (Homework is optional) *Schedule is subject to change. This course is part of a series, preparing students to start speaking more in Italian. ------------------------------------------ (If you have younger students, I have other Italian classes for them too!). *Also you can request a new time if you need a different time slot. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This class is mainly for ages 11-16: however, I do sometimes make accommodations for other ages. Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to help students get excited and feel confident in speaking some Italian through learning some key vocabulary in order to get them interested in foreign languages for college or feeling more confident in basic Italian for an upcoming trip to Italy.

Sometimes I post Quizlets in the classroom to do for optional homework. If your students decided to do these (flashcards, games, etc.), they will need an account set up.
