Class Experience

Learning a new language may be challenging, but with the right kind of activities, it can be a goal that's fun to achieve. This course is designed for beginning learners with zero to a little knowledge of Tagalog. I prepare the lessons based on the understanding that students who are going to take this course know how to read and have a basic understanding of English grammar. In this ongoing course, students will be introduced to common phrases, fun expressions, and conversational Tagalog. Students will have an opportunity to grow in their ability to speak and understand this language. We will go over the basics of Tagalog reading, pronunciation and grammar. Students will use targeted vocabulary and sentences to help them build their own sentences using the skill they will learn in this class.

For this course, I prepare slides and activities to make Tagalog understandable and the classroom experience fun and relatable for everyone! I like to add spontaneity in my classes to encourage free talk. I like interactions in the classroom and strive to achieve a class that’s informative and engaging.
