This one time course will introduce learners to a Tagalog song for kids. Students will get to know Tagalog words pertaining to family.

Class Experience

Children respond well to music. Singing while learning at the same time is the main goal in this class. Students will follow along to the words and tune and will be guided by the teacher. We will go over the vocabulary included in this song that focus on names of the people in a family. The teacher will check their comprehension and pronunciation. By the end of the class, students will have an opportunity to sing this song on their own in class. Class participation is encouraged.

If your child likes to sing and enjoys learning a new language, this class would be great for a beginner student.

Hi, my name is Helen. I love to teach as much as I love to learn. All of my classes are developed based on the goal of helping students grow in their appreciation of the world they live in --- whether it be arts, language, music, science, health, nature, geography, life skills, etc. My degree in education and years of experience have prepared me to bring traditional and current practices in the classroom. I have had varied opportunities teaching school-aged children up to adults in the Philippines, South Korea and the USA. I love cultural diversity and how it makes this world an exciting place to be. I currently run an online preschool and learning academy. I am also an ESL teacher (with TESOL certification) and have taught 5,000+ online classes to students all around the world since 2018. As an educator, I aspire to inspire my students to get excited about learning. I love to listen to children and interact with them. Sharing with a child's progress brings me joy.

As a lifelong learner, I believe that a well-balanced and wholesome education paves the way for a successful and exciting life. We strive to get good grades in school, but we must not forget to also make time for things that matter the most. In my free time, I travel with my family, spend time in my garden, do crafts, sing songs, cook international dishes, and eat spicy foods!
