US Grade 4 - 7
This camp will help students revise fractions, decimals, and percentages. This camp is designed to help students in upper primary/elementary school review key concepts in fractions and decimals so that they grow both in understanding and confidence. Each day will include an icebreaker, a game, and time spent discussing and working with the main topic. I use lots of practical examples and discussion to help students engage with the topic concretely before moving toward abstract problems. My class will be conversational, upbeat, and as visual and hands on as possible. Students will be encouraged to interact throughout the class, contributing to the discussion, actively working problems, and sharing their thought processes.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the meaning of equivalent fractions.
Students will understand the relationship between fractions and decimals, and perform basic arithmetic with them.
