Let's Read With Ms. Tina!

In this class, students will learn phonics skills that will help them become fluent readers. This is a private class, so the reading level will be individualized for the student. Students will learn phonograms and then practice these newly learned phonograms in sentences in an engaging manner. I use flashcards, props, a whiteboard, toys, songs, and animated facial expressions to engage students as they learn. Students will learn how to decode. Additionally, they will learn important reading skills such as reading with expression, and inflection, and with an understanding of how punctuation changes the way we pause. They will hear me read, read with me, and finally, read on their own to gain fluency and independence.
