Class Experience

Today we are going to be talking about sea glass; this class was created more for younger sea glass collectors! Students will have an opportunity to share some of the pieces that they have collected and tell why they like those pieces. Students will create a sea glass picture with their own pieces.
In this class I will teach students some facts about sea glass and give step-by-step instructions on how to complete the sea glass picture.
I love to make learning fun and encourage learning at the same time.
Some younger students may need a parent nearby.
Students that love collecting Sea Glass and doing art projects will enjoy this class!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
I look forward to meeting your child and having lots of fun learning together!
