In this one time class, students will plan and "pack" for a trip to Disney World! They will learn organizational skills, problem solving, and critical thinking as they analyze and decide what they do and don't need for their 7-day trip. First students will learn about when and where their trip is taking place, and what the weather is like there. Then they will learn how many days and nights they will be away, and what that looks like on a calendar. Once they know these important details, it's time to pack! Students will participate in a question and answer format as they work together to pack a suitcase with all the things they'll need on their trip. Do we need winter boots to go to Florida? Do we need a bathing suit? What about our favorite hat? Through this fun activity, students will learn both a useful life skill and how to use critical thinking to decide what they do and do not need. A suitcase is only so big, after all!
