Students will fold and cut 3 printed templates. This will let them practice their fine motor skills and scissor skills. Cutting the folded paper also helps the students learn about symmetry.

Students will learn about how watermelons grow by looking at photos and videos of farms.

Students will be shown how to mix paint colors. They will learn red + white = pink , and yellow + blue = green .

 1 file available upon enrollment
Please print the supplied PDF before class (3 pages black and white). Print this on regular paper. Paint -I will be using watercolor paint- but you can use poster paint or acrylic paint if that is what you already have . Either will work fine. Colors needed: Black, red, white, blue, yellow . Felt tip pen or permanent marker : one black , one green. Googly eyes . PVA glue. Water. Low tack tape/ or blue tack /or a bulldog clip . This is to hold the paper template steady while the child is painting on top of it . If you don't have any of these you could simply hold the paper template down while they paint . Thick white paper/Watercolor paper/card stock . Just use whatever painting surface you have already . You will need 3 pieces of paper (A4/or US letter sized) , Or one large piece of paper (big enough to fit 3x A4/US letter sized pieces of paper ). Paint brush x1 Sponge x 2 . You can use a make up sponge or a kids foam sponge brush . Any sponge will work really ... I often simply wash and cut up old kitchen sponges for crafting purposes . Scissors. Coloring pens / pencils . Qtips
Parent supervision is required in class because paint, glue, and scissors will be used.
