Class Experience
Welcome! In this 4 week course, we will create 4 charming animal paintings. No painting experience is necessary for this class. We will learn about basic brush strokes, and how to mix and blend colors. This is a Flex class, meaning NO LIVE CLASSES, you sign up and then watch the videos on your own schedule. I encourage students to participate in the classroom discussion by communicating with other classmates and commenting positively on their art once posted to the classroom. Ask any questions you want, and if you are comfortable, share your work as you complete each project. A video will be posted each week for the 4 weeks and students can watch them on their own time, as many times as they like. This allows students to complete the work on their own schedule. Painting process will take between 30-60 minutes depending on the speed of students' painting. Here are the 4 parts to the 4 week course: Part 1: Sheep landcape Part 2: Barn Owl Part 3: Emu Part 4: Colorful Zebra Students will learn techniques to paint animals. Students will follow along while I demonstrate the step by step process to complete each piece. An outline drawing will be posted for students to print for use if needed as a guide. Mondays- I will post the instructional video by 5 pm PT. On the classroom page students can ask questions, interact with peers and share work. Students will be given encouragement, guidance and individual feedback for each painting they create. Wednesdays- I will check into the classroom and answer any questions. Fridays- Submit your work by the end of the day. You can post images of your work as you progress or you can complete the paintings and post your work when complete. Students can also post a video of themselves sharing their painting. Give positive feedback on your classmate's work and I will give you comments about your artwork. * The class will have a view live meeting button, but with a flex class you will not be using this option.
