Calling all artists! Join Miss Stephanie and her friend Pancake to explore both art and literacy in this integrative lesson. We will sing, paint and read in this colorful adventure! Perfect for learners who are new to color recognition, as well as those who already know colors and want to have some magical fun mixing them together. There will be a focus on seven sight words and a review of example sentences. Together we will each complete a beautiful work of art: a spectacular rainbow! Can't...
♥ Sing a rainbow song ♥ Mix primary colors to make secondary colors ♥ Learn/recognize sight words: on, my, be, is, can, but, am ♥ Identify sight words (with guardian support, if necessary) ♥ HAVE FUN!
♥ Paint (Colors: Red, Blue, Yellow, White) Please ensure that paint is non-toxic and your learner is wearing a paint smock or old shirt. ♥ Large or small paint brush ♥ Water to clean brush and paper towel on hand to clean any spills ♥ Printable Sheet: Will be provided within 24 hours of class ♥ Bring your best self, ready to learn!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some students may require guidance from a guardian during the painting component of this class. A sight word will be selected at random and students will be asked to paint the corresponding word. If your child is unable to identify certain words, you may provide support by pointing it out for them. Guardians should ensure that supplies are appropriate for their learner (see supply list for more information).
