In this 1-hour course, the learner will learn the reading comprehension skill of visualization. This reading strategy will assist them in better comprehension of any text.

US Grade 1 - 4
The reading comprehension strategy of visualization will be taught in this section. The learner will practice this strategy by listening to poems and then describing what they saw through drawing and verbal discussion. They will take an imaginary trip and be able to verbally share and draw the scene they capture in their minds. Students will understand the reading comprehension strategy of visualization and be able to apply it. They will understand how using this strategy can improve their reading comprehension and increase their love of reading.
I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grade. I have taught this strategy to students before and this lesson and it has always been a hit with students that connects with them. Due to the various grade level taught I am able to differentiate the lesson based on the ages and grade levels of the students enrolled in this course to ensure all increase their learning on the topic.
