Learn to make beautiful chocolate dipped strawberries for Valentines day! Chocolate covered strawberries have been a really big hit, especially when it's close to the holidays! Not only will students learn how to make these delicious treats, but they will learn valuable kitchen skills such as how to use a microwave and how to wash and prep food safely. But the very best part is at the end, where we get to EAT THEM! This is a perfect class for those who are new to the kitchen and would like a chance to practice these new found skills. In all my classes, my full attention is on all of you to help you succeed and feel confident in the kitchen. I will be teaching with step-by-step instructions as well as through video demonstration. No experience is required, in fact I would really like to encourage those who are new to the kitchen to try this class! *For students ages 6 - 8 or those with no experience, parent supervision is recommended
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to use a microwave to slowly melt chocolate. They will also learn how to wash and prepare fruit together. They will also get lots of opportunity to ask questions and interact with other students if they wish.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings everyone and welcome to my page!
My name is Mindy and i'm very happy you found me here on Outschool!
I have been a teacher for 12 years now and here's a secret, I wasn't always the most attentive learner when I was studying in school. I had a hard time paying attention in class but I had so many wonderful and kind teachers that helped me along the way. They made learning fun for me and now, I hope that I can be that teacher for you! I believe that every single person has a unique talent and my mission is to help you find it.
You can expect to have an enjoyable learning experience with me because we will make new and exciting creations in class. I will be teaching fun classes such as 'How to make a summer smoothie' or 'Make simple lunches/dinners when your parents are out'. I would also love to offer a class where students get an opportunity to bring their pets to class. I've had my own business for about 5 years now and I would love to teach life skills, such as 'How to interview for your first job' or 'How to execute small business ideas'.
I would like to thank you all for taking my classes and i'm sure we are going to have a blast together! See you all real soon!
Miss Mindy
