In this one-time class, we will work together to create a snowman using a sock, polyfill and regular art supplies. We will start class by listening to a story about a snowman. We will then create our snowman to have and love all winter long. Lastly, if time allows we will play some snowman themed games. Whether you live in an area that allows you to get outside and build a snowman when it snows, or if snow is only something you can watch on TV, there is no reason to not have your own snowman to snuggle with whenever you want. The best part about this snowman? you won't get cold while building it.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a brick and mortar teacher for 20 years, mostly in the middle school setting. However, before that part of my career, I spent a few years working in daycares and preschools. I went to Wheelock College which is now part of Boston University. This school is one of the leading early childhood/ elementary education schools in the country. I also spent some time as an educational consultant working with teachers in the k-2 setting helping them understand the science of reading and developing their early literacy skills. I am also a certified Tinkergarten leader. Currently, I am the Education Manager at the National Canal Museum and Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. That job allows me to create learning experiences for children of all ages. I adore small children and while I love my three teen children and am enjoying watching them navigate the teen years, I do miss those early childhood days!
