1 in-class hoursClass Experience
When is the last time you got a hand written letter in the mail? Receiving such a gift, especially if it includes a favorite shared memory, can be more precious than anything money can buy! In this one time class, students will learn how to create their own holiday themed stationary and write a meaningful letter to a friend or family member. Students will learn how to create some basic shapes and pictures traditional of winter holiday images and design their own stationary using these pictures. Learners will be shown how to use basic shapes to draw the images and will have the option of simply outlining the pictures or coloring them in. They will be shown an example of stationary before deciding what theirs will look like. If students finish creating their stationary before class is over, they can begin writing a meaningful letter to a friend or family member. Learners are encouraged to think about a favorite shared memory with the person they choose to write to and begin composing their letter. They will get real time help with spelling and creating complete sentences.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! Thank you for sharing this time with me! My name is Mrs. Bloom, and I love teaching kids! My goal is to allow my students to experience learning hands on, and to encourage them to think and express themselves in a positive way. With over 20 years of experience working with kids in multiple capacities, including volunteering at camps, running kids programs, working as a teacher, and raising and homeschooling my own child, I have a huge variety of experiences from which I can pull to create fun and engaging classes for my students! Since we are expected to integrate information from multiple areas when we approach a problem in real life, my classes are taught from this interdisciplinary perspective. This allows students to ask questions, explore, and discover information that is interesting and relevant, motivating them to become lifelong learners. I can't wait for you to join me as we enjoy the art of learning!
