This class will meet live one time for 45 minutes and is intended for learners ages 7 to 10 years old. Class will start with a quick get-to-know-you activity. Students will then listen to parts of Graeme Base's beautiful book, Animalia. We will stop periodically throughout the book to identify alliteration and great vocabulary. For guided practice, we will write some alliterative sentences together. Students will have an opportunity to read some silly, alliterative sentences and create their own unique sentences with alliteration (examples will be provided for the students). Finally, students will share their sensational sentences with other students.

Learners will only need to know how to read and write.
Learners will need paper and a pencil and colors of choice.
