Description
Class Experience
I am a certified and experienced teacher.
I highly encourage creating flashcards and practicing sight words with your child outside of class time. I also attach daily, optional worksheets that go along with the sight word of the day. These should be completed after class and are great for extra practice! You will be able to find them on my daily post/update under the "Classroom" tab.
Students should have a dry-erase board, dry-erase marker, and eraser for class. If a dry erase board is not available, a piece of paper with a writing utensil will work fine too.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Students should be able to recognize their letters by sight and sound before taking this class. If you need help with this, feel free to contact me about tutoring your child over these skills.
The sight word sentences are credited to and adapted from "Anne Gardner's Reading Resources ". I have permission from Anne Gardner to use her "Sight Word Sentences" resources on Outschool. I do not receive commissions or other benefits from Anne Gardner, but parents can purchase these sight word sentences and other amazing resources from "Anne Gardner's Reading Resources" store on Teacher Pay Teacher if they choose.
